Olusesan Afara is a highly respected personnel specialist, officer recruiter, financial educator, and real estate investor. He is noted for his outstanding contributions to the U.S. Navy, financial education, and real estate investing achievements.

Enlisting in the Navy in July 2004, he embarked on a distinguished military journey marked by impressive achievements. From 2006 to 2007, he served as a liaison at the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center, Little Creek, VA, which earned him a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

His career in the Navy has involved service at multiple commands. His sterling performance led to his promotion to Chief Petty Officer (Senior Enlisted) in September 2017. Not long after, he became part of the leadership team that led the Personnel Office on board the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) to obtain an extraordinary outcome in a surprise Field Examination Group Audit in 2019.
